Technical Office Manager 

The technical office in public libraries aims to improve the user experience and provide a comfortable and attractive environment for visitors. The Technical Office works to implement and develop the technical and design aspects of the library to meet the needs of the community and promote reading and learning. Strategic management supervisor

Strategic management plays a vital role in the success and development of public libraries. Setting the vision and strategy: Strategic management works to define the general vision and mission of the library, in addition to setting goals and strategies that contribute to achieving this vision and turning them into actual, tangible actions. Strategic management also monitors and evaluates the library’s performance and analyzes data. The main indicators for measuring progress and achieving goals are supervised by Ms. Amani Hassan.

Information Systems Department : The department responsible for everything related to information systems and technology, and research and development of the latest technological developments. It supervises the systems and information at Al-Zawia Al-Hamra Library : in addition to his original work at the main library, Sherif Shaaban.

Supervisor of the library’s public relations and media documentation department

The Public Relations Department plays a role in building relationships, marketing the library, and enhancing its reputation, while the Media Documentation Department works on collecting media materials, documenting the archive, and disseminating information to the public. It is supervised by Professor Muhammad Omar .

Supervisor of networks, equipment and websites

 The Networks, Equipment and Websites Supervisor in public libraries manages and maintains the technological infrastructure and develops websites to provide access to digital services and ensure the security and protection of the network and data in the library. It is supervised by Professor Mukhtar Zaki .

Administrative and Financial Affairs Department :

This department is responsible for managing work related to administrative matters, including the library’s work regulations and policies, as well as financial and budget matters, purchasing matters, maintenance contracts, etc.

Director of Administrative Affairs The Director of Administrative Affairs in public libraries manages administrative operations, human and financial resources, strategic planning, and ensures compliance with laws and regulations. His role aims to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in library management and provide an organized and sustainable work environment. It is supervised by Mr. Hazem Al-Talawi

financial department :

It specializes in accounting, income and expenditure, and what is related to budget and budget work, and this is carried out by Mr. Muhammad Mahmoud Mustafa Amr.

Procurement Section :

Collections Development Department :

The department implements requests to purchase information containers, follows up on annual subscriptions to newspapers and magazines, receives materials donated to the library, and delivers materials donated by the library to other parties. It also performs the work of the technical secretariat of the Supply Committee. The department is interested in identifying the members’ needs for collections through: analyzing loan statistics. The views of those in charge of the service, direct inspection, current events, and the desires of beneficiaries (complaints and suggestions) .
Objectives of building and developing collections :  adding new library materials of various types to the current stock, meeting the needs of the library community in information forms and sources, addressing weaknesses in the existing collection. The annual supply plan is based on the principle of replacement and updating of collections, and is also based on inventory results and loan statistics. It aims to crystallize a clear picture of building and developing the library’s collections, thus identifying, preserving and developing the strengths, and identifying the weaknesses or deficiencies and treating them .

Adult section :

The Adult Section provides library and information services to adult library members (over 15 years old), and also carries out technical operations for new collections (cataloging/classification) in addition to participating in providing some artistic workshops and cultural activities. The Adult Library also provides members with workshops to improve Arabic calligraphy. And workshops to teach and develop drawing skills, artistic photography with pencil and color, teaching photography, and other arts of interest to all members . The department is supervised  by Professor Shaima Helmy

Department of Children and Youth :

The Children and Youth Department provides library and information services to the library members, children and young people from the age of 3 years to the age of 15 years.

The department also carries out the technical procedures for new collections (selection/cataloging/classification), in addition to participating in providing training programs and preparing programs for cultural and recreational activities for children .

The children's and young people's library offers many exciting activities for children, such as art workshops, intelligence games, cultural competitions, scientific workshops (science workshops), language education, and a chess school.

Loan Section :

The lending department prepares membership cards for library members, in addition to lending and returning books to individuals and groups (group lending) and determining late and loss fines .

The Cultural Activities Department undertakes many tasks, the most important of which is organizing high-level cultural activities, and a number of diverse activities of interest to youth and society, recreational activities, and book discussions .

The department markets the library’s activities and services other than going out to places of gatherings and distributing publications, which must be distributed in public and private institutions and universities to promote the various services and announce the specialized and non-specialized courses offered by the library. Graphics unit :

The statistical reports and research supervisor in public libraries collects and analyzes data, prepares statistical and research reports, and conducts research and development. His role aims to provide reliable and useful information to support the library’s work, make strategic decisions, and improve its services. This is supervised by Professor Osama Ghareeb

Accounts Supervisor

 The accounts supervisor in public libraries manages the budget, monitors financial accounts, prepares financial reports, and manages other financial affairs. His role aims to ensure the sustainability of the financial library, compliance with financial policies, and achieve transparency and accuracy in financial affairs . This is supervised by Professor Ibrahim Kamal El-Din .

Supervisor of the technical processing department

The supervisor of the technical processing department in public libraries organizes and processes library materials, provides easy access to them, and maintains their quality. His role aims to provide an organized and effective structure for the materials and ensure their availability and use easily and effectively by users. This is supervised by Ms. Doaa Nasr .

Office services management :

It includes sections for adults, children, loan, and training. Library services at the Egyptian Public Library, Al-Zawya Al-Hamra Branch, are supervised by Ms. Sherine Mamdouh.
