Visits and rules for visiting the library
Visits by non-members
Non-members are allowed to visit the library for free on Mondays and Fridays of each week from nine-thirty to eleven in the morning, in order to view the library and learn about its collections, activities, and the services it provides. .
Library access rules
The library requests its esteemed members to kindly adhere to the following rules
- Adherence to library hours: daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., except Tuesday
- Show your membership card when requested.
- Renew the membership card before its expiration date or hand over the expired card to security officials or employees of the subscriptions and loan counter.
- Non-subscribed members are not allowed to enter the library except during the times designated for visitors on Mondays and Fridays from 10-11.30 am.
- Maintain complete calm inside the library.
- Do not frequent places not designated for members.
- Children under the age of eight must be looked after throughout their time inside the library by a permanent attendant and not left alone anywhere inside the library.
- It is forbidden to smoke inside the library.
- It is forbidden to consume drinks and food outside the cafeteria.
- Maintaining the library’s holdings of books, audio-visual materials, CDs, listening and viewing devices, and computers, in addition to the furniture and garden.
- Adherence to the instructions for using the Internet hall, the audio-visual and multimedia materials unit in the adult department, the activities hall in the children’s department, and the computer training center, especially with regard to prior reservation for their use and the duration of use (see the special rules announced in the aforementioned places.).
- Commitment to using library computers for their designated purposes only, and floppy disks and CDs are strictly forbidden from entering and using the library.
- Adherence to the library’s lending rules, especially with regard to the loan period and fines for delay and loss.
- It is not permissible to enter the library halls with borrowed books.
- Care must be taken to examine the book before borrowing it to ensure its integrity and return it intact so that the borrower avoids any penalties imposed on him for destroying or losing the borrowed book.
- The beneficiary has the right to discuss with the relevant department head and express his comments about the service, or written complaints can be placed in the complaints and suggestions box located on the ground, first and second floors.
- Also, attempting to remove any of the library’s holdings through illegal means exposes violators to accountability
